The traditional refining process usually adopts the alkali refining method, that is, adding the required amount of alkali to the crude oil to neutralize the free fatty acids in the crude oil, and the resulting soapstock is separated by a separation process and then washed with water. The alkali refining process not only has high refining consumption, but also produces a large amount of washing sewage, which requires additional sewage treatment to meet local or national discharge standards. However, the physical refining process is quite ideal for processing low-quality crude oil or cottonseed oil. On the basis of traditional refining, using a unique physical refining method, steam is sprayed into the oil through the small holes on the tower coil, and while deodorizing, the free fatty acids contained in the oil are also stripped out. Physical refining realizes the new fashion of green products, with the characteristics of low refining consumption and no pollution. Since chemical methods are no longer used to process crude oil, no sewage is produced during the entire refining process, and manufacturers no longer need to spend a lot of financial and material resources to solve environmental problems.
