1. Overview of cottonseed oil

Cottonseed oil is the oil squeezed from cottonseeds. It is divided into pressed cottonseed oil, leached cottonseed oil, genetically modified cottonseed oil, cottonseed crude oil, and finished cottonseed oil. The color is darker than other oils. It can be used for human consumption after refining. It contains a lot of essential fatty acids. It should be mixed with animal fat. The content of linoleic acid in refined cottonseed oil is particularly high, which can effectively inhibit the rise of cholesterol in the blood and maintain Human health.

2. The benefits of cottonseed oil

Refined cottonseed oil is generally orange-yellow or brown. The fatty acid contains palmitic acid 21.6-24.8%, stearic acid 1.9-2.4%, arachidic acid 0-0.1%, oleic acid 18.0-30.7%, and linoleic acid 44.9-55.0%. The refined cotton clear oil removes toxic substances such as gossypol and can be used for human consumption. Cotton clear oil contains a lot of essential fatty acids for the human body, *should be mixed with animal fat, because the content of linoleic acid in cotton clear oil is particularly high, which can effectively inhibit the rise of cholesterol in the blood, maintain human health, and the human body absorbs cotton clear oil. The absorption rate is 98%.

3. Why should cottonseed oil be refined?

Cottonseed oil is the oil squeezed from cottonseeds, which contains a large amount of essential fatty acids for the human body. It should be mixed with animal fat for consumption. Because the content of linoleic acid in cotton clear oil is particularly high, it can effectively inhibit the rise of cholesterol in the blood and maintain the health of the human body. However, eating crude cottonseed oil (crude oil) can cause damage to spermatogenic cells and lead to azoospermia. National health standards require that the content of gossypol in oil is less than 0.02%. When the gossypol in cotton oil is not higher than 0.02%, it has no effect on the human body. Therefore, cottonseed oil must be refined before consumption. Since May 1, 2004, the national health and anti-epidemic and quality inspection departments have clearly stipulated that all kinds of unrefined edible oils are prohibited from being sold on the market.

4. Cottonseed oil refining process

Cottonseed oil crude oil → degumming → deacidification → water washing → decolorization → deodorization → winterization → finished first grade cottonseed oil

5. Main equipment for refining cottonseed oil

Neutralization pot: used for acid refining, alkali refining and water washing;

Decolorizing pot: Use bleaching grease and depigmenting;

Deodorizing pot: used to remove the odor of grease; (made of stainless steel)

Heat conduction oil furnace: Provide heat energy required for production, the temperature reaches 280℃;

Vacuum pump: Provide the vacuum required for decolorization and deodorization, which can reach more than 755mmHg;

Air compressor: Blow-dry the decolorized clay;

Filter press: filter white clay;

Steam generator: produces steam required for deodorization distillation.

6. Precautions for the operation of refining equipment

(1) After each change of the heat-conducting oil, the heat-conducting oil furnace must be kept at around 90℃ for more than 5 hours.

(2) Neutralization pot and decolorization and deodorization equipment, and the use of heat energy must be reasonably distributed and adjusted. When deodorizing, it must be ensured that the deodorizing temperature is 240~260℃, and other equipment mainly depends on the valve to adjust the balance.

(3) After maintenance, graphite gaskets must be used for all heat conduction pipeline gaskets, and high temperature valves must be used for replacement valves.

(4) Before igniting the heat-conducting oil furnace, the heat-conducting oil pump must be started. After the heat-conducting oil furnace ceases fire, the heat-conducting oil pump must continue to run. When the heat-conducting oil temperature drops below 100℃, the heat-conducting oil pump can be turned off.

(5) It is forbidden to ignite the raw furnace without heat transfer oil; it is forbidden to ignite the raw furnace when the heat transfer oil pump is not running.
